you can't help someone else do their job but you sure can help them tackle it better

The United Nations Innovation Lab resides within UNITE at the Secretariat in New York. They want to break away from the rigid hierarchical structure the UN possesses and shift to an alternate internal cultural that is collaborative and flat in structure.

We interacted with Becky Band Jain, who was then managing the change. She tried doing that by introducing workshops and collaborative activities but was having a really hard time. The project was to help her visualize that problem and help her tackle it better… and here’s the design process that followed.

Design Thinking Process

As a form of analogous research, we looked into bigger companies such as Accenture, IBM, Deloitte... trying to see how they execute innovation. Eventually realizing that all of them promote the culture within the company at the same time have a creative agency that works internally to make a difference.

We shifted gears from looking at how we could change the UN culture to how can we help leaders create change
